Never use trebles myself except for lure fishing. The angle which they protrude at is not good for me, personaly I do things a little differet I use a large single at the front of the trace & a double up the trace - similar to how some people rig up for cats. I tried 2 rods on trebles & 2 on the single/double rig years ago & the single/double combi hooked & landed more fish I have not used trebles for bait fishing for years. For doubles I go for drenan semi barbed & signle I use partridge or CCG. This combo sits straight up & out of the bait instead of to the side like trebles do. Im also sure this rig is much better for pike conservation
