 lots of water to chose from!, river trent in between nottingham and newark. several gravel pits in area, with good head of pike. Knipton res (vale of belvoir), used to be on a day ticket (not sure if still is)- well worth a shot. river trent at gunthorpe lock and stoke bardolph (near the outflow from sewage works, right infront of the ferry boat pub), very fast run, but always holds good head of prey fish (and so pike). e-mail me if you want any more info!
