although i do not lure fish i do zander fish and have done for the last 8 years and i only miss a week end if christmas falls on it so i am dedicated and have had some nice zeds to over 14lb its a diffult fish to catch at the best of times and locating them is your biggest problem but there you have an advantage by lure fishing as you will be very mobile it would be wrong for me to suggest to you area,s but would suggest you target the relief, cut off and the great ouse and middle level after purchasing a KLAA book which cost £32.00 but i would certainly suggest that you try and make a couple of visits to the drains and see if you can speak to a few of the lads who fish for them and hopefully you might get snippets of imformation. ( bewarned the zander boys are very cagey about given imformation as to where you might find a few )but by the time you go to those area,s they will probably would have moved so you have a bit of a up hill struggle . also chat to the match boys who also will give you indicators wether the silver fish are in the area and these also are worth trying .also try around the various bridges on each of the drains these also produce , but do not let this deter you from your goal of catching your first zed and i wish you all the best in your challenge .
