hi i am moving to scotland on saturday and have a loch to fish which is very very rarely fished. it contains brwn trout, rainbows, sea trout, Big pike, big eels and some one mentioned there is half a doz artic char. the loch is about 7-8miles long and quite wide. i have the fly fishing and bait fishing covered but am wanting to try lure fishing for pike. can anyone give advice for wat setup(rods reels line breaking strain, lures spinners plugs coulers etc...)should i opt for the pike have been caught up to 30lbs but people say there are some bigger ones there.
any advice greatful.
