They are not bad for the price but if the line is not helping you cast then you'll struggle and you can do better for not a lot more money. I also think that if you are going to buy just one line then an intermediate line is better than a floating line. It'll get your fly down in the water faster on a slow retrieve. On a fast retrieve it'll keep up in the water almost like a floater. Try the Airflo ten weight cold water clear intermediate slow sink line. www.tightlines.co.uk do it for about thirty quid. Make sure its the COLDWATER and not the TROPICAL line.
