"Eine Probebohrung nach Erdwärme hatte in 130 Meter Tiefe eine Wasserblase angestochen. Unter hohem Druck bahnte sich das Wasser mehrere Wege nach oben und überflutete den Parkplatz des Ministeriums und eine der Hauptdurchgangsstraßen in Wiesbaden. Aus den Geysiren traten etwa 6000 Liter Wasser pro Minute aus. Als die Bohrfirma und die Feuerwehr versuchten, das größte Loch zu schließen, schoss eine fünf bis sechs Meter hohe Fontäne in die Luft. Die hessische Landeshauptstadt Wiesbaden ist auf vielen warmen Quellen gebaut..."
