The 16th Annual Michael Flannery Testimonial Awards Dinner

The 16th Annual Michael Flannery Testimonial Awards Dinner will be
held on Saturday April 30, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Connolly's Pub
& Restaurant, 121 West 45th Street in New York City. This annual
event, organized by Cumann na Saoirse Naisiunta, honors
Irish-Americans and others for their contributions to the promotion of
Irish history and culture, traditional Irish Republican principles,
human rights and Irish freedom.

Connolly's is conveniently located in the heart of Times Square and is
accessible by public transport.

by a buffet dinner with dessert, coffee and tea.

Traditional Irish music will be performed by Mary Courtney (vocals and
guitar) and Bernadette Fee (fiddle) of Morningstar and Gerry Enright
(bodhran).

The themes for this year's Dinner will be:

The Countdown to 2016 --- The centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising and,

The 30th anniversary of the deaths of the 1981 Hunger strike martyrs

The Honorees for the 2011 Awards are:

Patrick Frawley -- will be the recipient of the 2011 "Michael & Pearl
Flannery Spirit of Freedom Award". Patrick's dedication to the Irish
Cause was evident during the 1981 Hunger Strike Campaign in New York
when Pat went about organizing a constant stream of buses from the
East Bronx to the British consulate in Manhattan.

Peggy 0 Hara -- will be the recipient of the 2011 "Sr. Sarah Clarke
Human Rights Award". Peggy, a native of Co. Derry Ireland, is the
mother of INLA volunteer, Patsy 0 Hara who, rather that be classified
as a common criminal, became the fourth hunger striker to die seeking
political Status in Long Kesh prison in British Occupied Ireland on
May 21, 1981. Patsy was a gregarious and immensely popular young Derry
man who understood first hand about the ravages of sectarianism
fostered by British rule in Ireland. Patsy gave his life for others to
live free in reunited Irish nation.

Victor Sackett -- will be the recipient of the "Sean Mc Diarmada
Centenary Award". This award is the second in a series of special
awards commemorating the signatories of the 1916 Proclamation. Vic, a
member of the National Freedom for all-Ireland Committee of the
Ancient Order of Hibernians, has remained true to the Irish Republic
proclaimed on Easter 1916 has been a supporter of Irish reunification
all his life. Vie supports the Eire Nua Federal solution for restoring
the health and wealth of Irish Nation, finally freed from the scourges
of British colonialism

A Souvenir Ad Journal is being produced to mark the event. This is an
ideal opportunity to place a memorial ad for one of the many activists
and friends who, after having done their part for Irish freedom, have
passed on. By placing an ad in the Journal, acknowledging their
contributions, you will help ensure that they are remembered and
honored as sons and daughters of Irish freedom.

Proceeds from the dinner will be used 1) to provide financial
assistance, through Cabhair in Ireland, to the families of a growing
number of Irish political activists incarcerated in both Irish states
who need and deserve our support support and 2) to fund the
organizations operations and campaigns

Tickets for the 2011 Testimonial Dinner are $80.00 per person.
