I would like to take this opportunity to say thanks to all those who have written to me in support of my applications for repatriation over last 12 months.
Every week I receive cards and messages of solidarity from people I do not know personally - and have never met - but who see the injustice of what is happening to me as regards my right to serve my sentence in the country of my birth.
So many good people out there for me it would be impossible to mention them all, however I would like to say a special thanks to a number of individuals who have stuck with me through the bad times as well as the good - Sean Mac in USA who continues to highlight my case over there, Finnbar in Derry who has contacted numerous influential individuals on my behalf, to Michael who keeps me updated on a daily basis, and who organises support for protests and pickets etc, helping to keep the general public informed of my case, and Larry in Scotland and Terry in London who maintain on-going correspondence with me.
To them I give my thanks, and my thanks also to the many nameless and unknown individuals who support me.
As you know I have been informed by the powers that be over in Dublin that I cannot apply again for repatriation for at least another year. I refuse to accept that illegal directive from these people, and the Irish Commission for Prisoners Overseas (ICPO) are currently contesting it too - as are the IPSC, the Civil Rights Vets and the IP-SC in America.
Meeting are taking place, and I am still hopeful of a just outcome.
Again my thanks to all who are out there supporting my campaign.
