A prominent civil rights veteran informed a meeting of '68 Vets in Belfast last Saturday that he was planning to publish a pamphlet in memory of many women who played a role in the struggle for reform, social justice and human progress. It will be entitled The Road to the Streets, and will co-incide with the 40th anniversary of civil rights marches across the Six Counties, and beyond. It is hoped to include a listing entitled, "In Memory of Women who Struggled for Social Progress" [Or words to that effect] . If anyone on your board thinks some woman/en should be listed, and so recognised after their death, please communicate with the Oct. 5th Assoc-via rights.civil@googlemail.com
at their earliest convenience.
Thanking you all for your kind attention to this request.
