The 4 administrators of this forum, at home and abroad, wish to state that there is no way that small business-people on Foyle Street were ever part of this controversy-indeed most of them already can distinguish betweeen the facts and the fictions. Why should they jump in to defend one side or the other in this debate, for the people of Derry and the "dogs in the street", as they say here, know the TRUTH already, even though "certain people" are highly reluctant to admit such publicly. Enough Said!

What follows was posted to this bulletin-board some time ago, and that should put the record straight.
