Subject: Complaints from HMP Maghaberry

IN CORRESPONDENCE TO US THREE REMAND PRISONERS CLAIM:

Relatives have not received letters and that letters to them have not been passed on and will not be until the end of August, because of "staff shortages". Relatives phoned the prison to make sure that what clothes they intended to leave did not breach their regulations. In spite of such the clothing was not admitted. The three say they have not had a change of clothes since their imprisonment on -7-7-07, which was 22 days prior to his letter of 29th July.

They believe that they are being denied their civil rights They say there is no point in writing to them as the letters will not be handed over until end of August, Instead they recommend we contact relatives on their mobiles. Unlike this trio, we do not believe they will get bail, therefore the need to try and resolve their problems ASAP.
