In reply to: Harry Potter 's message, "Too complicated" on 18:09:42 05/10/02 Fri

Was it her, or had she come off rude? Hadn't been intended, no, not at all, but she was so unknowingly hurtful. How shallow of her to be so wrapped up within her own world of hopes and dreams that she should shut her eyes in front of the pain. She hoped perhaps the sickness, the evil that had attacked one wizarding community...she wished, with all her heart, it could be a lie, or only and illusion. And it was so simple to say 'What is wrong? What is wrong with the World today?', of course Celeste knew nothing of inner depth, of showing her soul to anyone, well with the exclusion of Julian. There was no simple answer. Things were so different from yesterday, and they got worse each day, faster. And prejudice seemed so easy at the moment, to just hate the people that had brought rainy days, but Celeste did have some decency. So the question was answered, plain and simple: "Just me. I didn't mean to be rude...I just come off that way, I'm sorry. Of course you shouldn't ahve snapped to conclusions so fast, you're on our territory now, is that so awful? It's strange, but can't any of you act like your lucky for not being blasted off the face of the Earth, or did you all want that? Was ending it all the plan? I'm not sure about the people in Britain, but people here, at least me, are naive. I don't know pain, I never have...not the kind you've experienced, so you should try to remember...not everyone understands. That's nice enough, for us to try to understand. We don't have to you know. Of course I can understand the people, some of us might have written you guys off the list from day one, I did. But...well there's too much pain to ignore it. So let me rephrase my question, Is it so bad to be here, that nothing would make you smile?" she asked, almost kindly, but still keeping the standard 'you're-on-my-territory' tone. It seemed there was a chism in the school, and if they couldn't all pull together, do something, be strong...then it wasn't a 'what', but a 'we' that was wrong.

[> [> [> [> But it's ridiculous when they're this hard -- Harry Potter, 19:36:05 05/11/02 Sat

The onyx apexed, masculine figure's penetrating green leer of choleric resentment transfixed on her with aloof frigidity at her, embittered and barely kindled ferment [not all induced from her] still obviously simmering and it didn't seem to be calming into tranquility anytime soon. He had begun to slightly lose some of his incense, but it only reignited like coal perniciously slathered with a leathal dosage of flammable fluid. "I don't care who's territory I'm on. I appreciate the refuge offered to us so graciously by your Headmistress," the tone was trenchant, biting, caustic, "but maybe you're the one not seeing the whole picture here. How about you try to understand instead of standing there and critiquing me on my behavioral vices and telling me you're trying when you're not seeing the magnitude of the situation. Understand that I was ripped away from all I've known as were all of my peers, understand that many of our friends died, and understand that I died. Understand that we left everything behind. Everything." He inhaled requisitely fathomlessly and his lethargic, virent colored peer downcasted then bore past her, veiled by dark fringes of eyelashes that cast shadows over his ashen visage from the plenilune lumination drifting in through from the eerie night. An overcast, ominous gloom settled comfortably over him in dismal, melancholy moroseness, her last sentence seeming to have hit hard. Death. How could one banter about such a topic, profering as if it were so mere, so insignificant, when it was truly the largest milestone one could stake claim upon. Rhetoric, of course. "There is someone that could make me smile, but she's not around." With that, he meandered past her, nodding slightly in an informal soho.

[> [> [> [> [> True That -- Celeste Riecburg, 06:25:30 05/12/02 Sun

Celeste stood still, she couldn't even imagine the events he described. A wizarding holocaust. Destruction, devistation, disgrace. The horror! Celeste's eye grew wide, but her mouth simply dropped when he said that he died. She racked her brain, as quick as she could, he was walking away. She pictured him in her head, he was already turned around, and...wait a second! That scar...he died, the gossip- oh my god! "Oh-oh my god!" she screamed, "You're Harry Potter!" she said. Now she just felt stupid. She'd been so ignorant now. Everyone knew who he was, and she ran to catch up, "I'm sorry, so sorry! I didn't know-really forgive me, I feel so stupid. I had no idea" she said shaking her head, shocked at who she had been speaking to so rudely. No one could know pain better than he could. Celeste was just nothing comapred to what he'd been through, a walk in the park.

[> [> [> [> [> [> I think I need a change -- Harry Potter, 07:30:54 05/12/02 Sun

Startled by her sudden outburst, he instinctively wheeled to face the direction the vociferation was sonorously emitted from as if he were a defensive animal. The consternation, however, was short-lived and soon fell away as his logic pieced together the scene. As she accused him of who he was, his sable eyebrows furrowed almost quizzically, but more or less cogitatingly. Seeming perfectly insane, he retorted blandly and in obvious resign, emerald green, peridot flecked eyes rising to meet her's as his "realization" of sorts hit, "Yeah. I am, aren't I?" However more his more recent life had made him additionally callous and weathered, wise, even, and his ephemeral, sometimes irascible temper was the verbal lambastement of others who managed to excite a nerve or so into the practice, when his aggression pacified, he knew he shouldn't be putting people to fault for being naive because they couldn't help it. Doing so would be naive of him. When she had approached him again, he was mellowed considerably, as she had put thoughts of Hermione into his lonely brain and that had cut him to the quick. The masculine phenomenon offered a fleeting but genuine smile to her when he noticed how devastated she was, but it was barely detectable. His soul searching eyes bore into her turquoise ones indecisively for a moment, but then he spoke. "Stop whimpering. I forgive you. To err is human, but I'd appreciate it if you told me you wouldn't approach anymore random Hogwarts students like you did me. I don't think they'd appreciate it very much, because I didn't." Perhaps he was too clementful on subjects such as she, but bestowing mercy upon all his enemies but one was a task he could accomplish. That didn't mean it wasn't an ornerous task, but it meant he could accomplish it.

[> [> [> [> [> [> [> Everything changes, nothing remains without change-Buddha -- Celeste Riecburg, 08:30:44 05/12/02 Sun

Celeste smiled, so happy her mouth hadn't gotten her into trouble again. She put one hand up, palm facing him, as if swearing, "On my honor, no more," she said solemnly. "I'm Celeste by the way, Celeste Riecburg," she smiled, pulling her hair off her shoulder and back behind her. "Listen, to thoroughly make it up to you, if you need any help or anything, like school work...I mean I'll do what I can, or if someone is bothering you...just say the word. Don't be afraid to ask, OK?" she offered. Celeste could be nice, whenever she felt it was needed, and now it wasn't definatley needed. What if ended up saving this whole school one day? What if he ended up saving..her? She hadn't been in any particular danger...but there were so many 'and's' and 'what if's' in life, you should put nothing like this to chance.
