politics and Christmas just don't mix. I personally think that the mentality of "We will hunt you down and destroy you" is the main underlying theme for the military actions to date. The last 3 presidents we have had from Texas (sorry IG) have dragged us into fruitless military conflicts which have had devastating effects on our country (IMHO) and really haven't done much for world peace. The smallpox thing is smoke as far as I am concerned. I think it is being used to justify more bombing over in the middle east. The excuse being to "prevent" the possibility of another "attack" on the U.S.

It was necessary to have the world become more alert to these anarchists and take precautions to keep people safe. However we have had the problem of anarchy since Cain killed Abel and somehow I don't think these people will ever give up. There is evil in our world and it takes many shapes and forms. Unfortunately, the more one tries to eliminate it, evil only comes back stronger or more malicious than ever. I have no answers, just opinions which aren't too popular with my mother who thinks that Bush can walk on water.
