it was a lame attempt at putting too many old ideas into one episode. I caught the HTGSC, the reference to the mushrooms episode, the TV thing was a rerun. I also was reminded right away, of the episode where the doll keeps making the litle girl do awful things. I sort of waited for Scully to throw the boy into the microwave like she did the doll. The little boy was cute--he even reminded me of the little kid who saw "dead people." Now if the dad would have been Bruce Willis--things would have been a lot more fun to watch. IMHO anyhow.

Dogget's solution was so in-character. He called the kids bluff and had a very no-nonsense, get down to business solution once he figured things out. I don't know if Mulder would have solved the problem the same way but I enjoyed the way Doggett took care of the problem!

The little things like the apron and the autopsy tools were hilarious, Leyla was her usual ditsy self and Scully's line of having to convince her mother to come and babysit was great. I guess I was just hoping they would have either made this a comedy outright or else put a little more time into a good plot for an XFile episode to remember!
