It seems like about 95% of the post-Existence stories are introspective pieces about how Mulder and Scully feel about William and things. While those are nice, after 50 or so it gets a bit tiring. It's nice to read a story with a plot! I wish more ff authors were writing them.

And yours was very well thought out. I'm no expert on how the witness protection program works but your ideas were thorough and sounded good.

That character Gerard made me think of Tommy Lee Jones' character in The Fugitive. Wasn't his name Gerard?

I liked that Kersh was the bad guy. I hope he turns out to be the chief villian of season 9.

OK now you may not like hearing this but you know what character you write especially well?

Doggett! His "been there done that" conversation with Kersh fit RP's interpretation of the character to a tea. For you to write him so well I think you have to like him more than you admit. ;-)

On Mulder and Scully's new names. All your choices had a basis behind them I knew of except for "Marie". Does that have a special meaning for you? You don't have to say if it's personal. I just wondered because I like that name and it is my sister's middle name and it was my grandmother's middle name as well.

Are you going to write a sequel to this? I think you could. It could go a couple different ways. Personally I'd like to see an adventure with Kersh and the baddies somehow catching up with "The Carters"" a few years down the line. I want to know what Kersh's plans were in taking William.

Clever idea having a second child working out as part of their cover! Hmm seems to me I suggested to you a while back about the possibility of M&S having more children. ;-D Well it was a really good idea for a story although sad that they had to change their lives. On the soap I ocassionally watch, All My Children, a couple of the characters on that left the show by going into the witness protection program. Two of the best characters. For a while they were mentioned on occasion with letters to their family brought to them by a third party and stuff like that.

Det :-)
