I'm glad you both liked the story and I appreciate you taking the time to comment on it. Basically, what I was trying to do was come up with what I would have liked to seen as the series finale/bridge to the next XF movie, but really trying to keep it in character and have some plot, not just shippy stuff. I may do a follow-up at some time, but these plot-intensive fanfics are really not my forte.
As for some of the other comments (mostly from Det). . .I chose "Marie" as Scully's new middle name simply because a lot of Catholic women have some version of Mary/Marie/Maria as one of their names. And, yes, I do seem to have some sort of weird insight into Doggy's character. The best response I have *EVER* received on any of my fanfics has been a postep for "Per Manum" that I wrote from Doggy's POV. Maybe it's the fact that I don't particularly like him that allows me to view his character objectively. . .I'm not busy drooling, like Melissa is!
