During the opening credits Mulder's former partner, Jerry Lamana walks through some FBI offices looking for him. He passes a bookcase that has a regular plastic-type jack-o-lantern perched on the first shelf. He reaches in and presumably takes something out and pockets it as he continues looking for Mulder. Blink and you'll miss it!
