I think only Scully was in Musings and it was a flashback to the Pilot when she was in Blevins office and first hired. I think part of it was voices on a tape. Maybe Mulder was on that but I don't think they showed him in the ep at all. I remember it was weird for me to watch because Musings was one of the first eps of the series I ever saw and I barely knew anything about Mulder and Scully's past history.
