Subject: Working in NYC

Hi everyone! It's great to see that everyone is keeping
in touch and exciting to see all the differnt avenues
people are persuing. I am a PSU Econ grad (98') who had the
pleasure of taking one of Jim's finance classes. Out of
all my courses that semester, his was definitely the most
educational and fun!

Since graduating I worked as an airline pilot and a web developer. While both of there areas were great in terms
of money and career advancement, I was never able to put
my passion for Wall Street to rest. Therefore, I decided
to make another career change (hopefully my last) and move
to Hoboken, NJ to start a finance career.

Unfortunately, it has been very challenging to break into a
good position due to the depressed economy and the 9/11
attack. Currently, I am working at Thomson Financial as a
"Research Analyst". The title is much more endearing than
the actual work. Fortunately, there was one individual who
was hired by Morgan Stanley which has given me and my co-workers hope! In addition, I have a meeting with a recruiter for a new job this week.

Getting situated into a NYC to start a career can be overwhelming. Being inserted into the martix here is easier
if you had some help like I did though. If any of you guys and gals would like to contact me for any kind of information on where to like or where to start looking for
a job, please feel free to contact me! Conversely, if anyone
has any information about getting on board with one of the
investment banks here in NYC, I would appreciate your help.

I am building a list of job resources on my web site which might help you at www.bryanlehner.com Please feel free to send me an email!

Best wishes to all,
Bryan
