I'm responding to your last sentence, " Not too sure a home PC has any real value."

Don't dump that computer just yet, there's a real "good" you can do in the world with it. If you are serious about doing something really useful in the world (and not just making money), why not consider starting your own family history and genealogy.

There are millions of people doing it all over the world. They use a special program for that purpose which lets them input and store all their names, dates, children, parents and other ancestors. There are many genealogy programs on the market, the one called, "Family Tree Maker" is the front runner and is available at your local store.

Another option, a free one, is to download the Personal Ancestral File 5.0 from the Mormon Church's website. It's perfectly free, and although it's not as robust as the other programs but it certainly has enough to satisfy most users. It is not the largest seller but is, by far, the largest in use around the world. It's available in many languages so you can even us it if you are a citizen of another country. It's available from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints official FamilySearch website at:

<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.familysearch.org/">http://www.familysearch.org/</a>

Just click on Order/Download Products. Look for Personal Ancestral File 5.2.18, usually refered to a PAF5.

If you want to follow some of its users and their work you can log onto the Yahoo! website which hosts this group. It is found at:

<a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PAF5-USERS/">http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PAF5-USERS/</a>

I know you were wanting to find a way to make money from home but this isn't it. It's just a way to turn yourself into the family historian and genealogist. Your descendants will love you for it.

Franklin Reid
