Subject: ROLLING STONES PHOTO EXHIBITION

To celebrate the Rolling Stones 40th Anniversary; two-art galleries will be paying tribute to the Rock legends over the next three months. Currently, a photo exhibition is on display at Govinda Gallery in Washington D.C. from September 20 to October 26. The exhibition will then be at Magidson Fine Art in New York City, where it will be on display from November 14 through the Christmas Holiday. The display will feature photographs taken of the Stones, throughout their entire career, by the following photographers: Fernando Aceves, Michael Cooper, Gus Coral, William Coupon, Barry Feinstein, Claude Gassian, Bob Gruen, Ross Halfin, Michael Joseph, Art Kane, Eddie Kramer, Chris Makos, Gered Mankowitz, Jan Oloffson, Michael Putland, Ethan Russell, Mark Seliger, Kate Simon, Dick Waterman, Baron Wolman. The exhibition will have plenty of photographs on display from the Brian Jones era.

Anyone who is a fan of the Rolling Stones will not want to miss out on this.

“Coinciding with the Rolling Stones' fortieth anniversary world tour, Rolling Stones 40 x 20 celebrates the career of "The World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band" as seen through the lens of twenty photographers. These extraordinary images document the longevity, celebrity, and popularity of the band synonymous with rock.

Beginning with Gus Coral's photographs of the Rolling Stones' first tour of England in the fall of 1963, Rolling Stones 40 x 20 chronicles the band's development through such key periods as the Between the Buttons images of Gered Mankowitz, the Satanic Majesties Request- era photographs of Michael Cooper, the Beggar's Banquet photos of Michael Joseph, and much more. This exhibition presents a compelling look at what many consider to be the greatest rock and roll band”.
