It is a melodic sound, described by critics as a valse musette, or more understanably as a waltzy time song a' la francaise. the French accordion played by Brian Jones aids the Gallic atmosphere, but does nothing to hide the contemptuous, vitriolic lyrics of prostitution and forbidden sex which are concealed from the participant's nice conventional home life."
