Twink,

Thanks for writing. I know about Gerry's story of meeting Brian Jones in the Spring of 1969. I don't know for sure if Brian came to New York or not during that time. A friend of mine said that Brian came to America in 1968 for the recording or mixing of Beggars Banquet at Sunset Sound Studios in California. That may have been before the outcome of his second drug trial. I know a lot of people think Mick and Keith are lying about Brian not being able to get visa into America because of Gerry's story, but I honestly don't know. It's possible he could have I suppose. He might have gotten permission to come here for a very short time but nothing long-term, like a tour. I've been telling people for years that it doesn't mean Mick and Keith are lying because there are different kinds of visas. It is possible he couldn't get a working visa to tour; just a visa for a couple of days.

As for the books. I know Terry Rawling's personally and I don't know where he get the story from. I don't know if he made it up or Keylock told him. Gloria Sheppard's book, well that's another story in itself. I don't take anything she says seriously. Like yourself, I've never heard anyting substantiated.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Rob
