"The real motivation for the murder has never been clearly stated"-- What, it wasn't Klein doing it to save money, or gay-bashing workmen icing their swishy employer, or Thorogood acting in revenge for being fired/humiliated/caught with Anna? Multiple motivations for multiple murderers have been discussed the point of absurdity in multiple books. What *is* this new angle on the story?

Maybe the movie'll have Nicholas Fitzgerald murder Brian because Brian went with Anna instead of with him. Then he kills Richard Cadbury, the only witness, to cover his tracks.

Maybe the movie will have Anna kill Brian after he reprimands her for showing her panties in public. Murders have been done for less than that.

No, wait, I know. It'll claim Bill ordered it, just so he could get Anna into his Swedish Blonde Harem on the pretext of looking after her well-being. Wait, that isn't glamorous enough... maybe it's back to the Keith-in-the-bushes theory. That one's not been fully explored.

(Note to humour-impaired fans-- the above three scenarios are intended as jokes, and do not reflect intent to libel the parties involved, or the views of the writer. Though the writer must say she always raised an eyebrow at the idea of someone entrusting a young Swedish girl to the care of one William George Perks.)

Also, Brian was on heroin and coke when he died? I thought the murder-theory people (the Anna-philes, anyway) claimed he was clean and happy.

Note to Alison George: Brian died in Sussex (West Sussex, actually) not Suffolk.

Diane
