Actually, we didn't talk much about Brian Jones. When I had dinner with him I asked him what Stones song his band would be playing the next day at the memorial concert, and he replied by saying that was a good question and "The Last Time" was probably going to be their choice. After dinner me, Noel, his fiance and a friend of mine sat outside the hotel and smoked a little. I remember his fiance asking me how I became a Brian Jones fan and I told both Noel and her, and then I told them that I thought the Stones died the night Brian died, and Noel responded by saying that he wrote the very same thing in his personal diary. Unfortunately, the Monterey Pop Festival never came up.
