I can verify Cathy's post. We have been tracking the activities of the Cat Breeder's Society for three months now. It is not non-profit (501c3), it does not have the trademark it has claimed for a year (they filed for a service mark May 8, and are still breaking the law by using the federal registration symbol of a circled R). They solicit clandestine buyers to mystery shop other breeders and report them, and then they encourage unsatisfied buyers to sue the breeders for everything they own, including their cats.
On June 2, 2003, the president, Rosemarie Zizzo of Shar Dew Persians, dumped five of her cats at the Ramona shelter in Hemet, CA.
And this person claims to be working to save our pedigree "kittys".
