Just found the link to your Mountaindale story today. I believe that the pictures on your site were the first I have ever seen of that fateful weekend. My friends and I also had tickets to the cancelled Bud Fillipo event in Mountaindale. We spent one or two memorable nights camped out near the New Prospect before we moved on with everybody else to the Summit. We were there waiting on the Grateful Dead. In fact, sometime during the night I woke up to see a good friend of mine, on stage, singing with the cast of "Hair", waving an american flag. That was a weekend that my friends and I still talk about to this day.

By the way, there were parties at the Summit, each weekend throughout that summer. However, none approached the intensity of that first one.
