 Don't know if anyone's paying attention, two years after these posts. But I was there, at Sound Storm — was part of the crew that put it on, in fact. I don't think the attendance was anything like that — Iola, a couple months later, perhaps came close.
The lineup also included Rotary Connection (sounding quite different, but every bit as good, as their studio stuff), Segal-Schwal (sic?), billing themselves as the Happy Year Band or some such, and a bunch of the Madison-area bands from that era — perhaps Captain Billy's Whiz Bang, Spectre, etc. I don't remember them all — I don't sometimes remember yesterday, much less 36 years ago.
I do remember wiring the stage, doing security (hah!) and running the stage lights, the last of those while the organizers passed the hat to keep the generators running. And some other stuff that I won't go into here ...
