MY FRIEND SCOTT AND I, HITCH HIKED FROM BEAVER COUNTY (PA.) AND RODE IN THE BACK OF A FORD STATION WAGON, WITH 4 OR 5 GIRLS FROM GROVE CITY COLLEGE (I THINK) WE WENT PREPARED FOR BAD WEATHER, AND MADE A MAKE SHIFT LEAN-TO, WITH THE PALLETTES FROM THE BOTTLED WATER, AND OUR RAIN PONCHOS. WE HAD SLEEPING BAGS, ETC, SO WE STAYED COMPLETELY DRY. WHEN WE LEFT, WE RODE ON THE HOOD OF AN OLD BARACUDA FOR A WHILE, THEN STARTED HITCHING AGAIN. LATE IN THE DAY, WE GOT A RIDE TO SOMEONES FARM, AND SLEPT IN THE BARN, AND RODE INTO THE NORTHSIDE OF PITTSBURGH, WITH A GIRL THAT WORKED THERE. GREAT EXPERIENCE, TRADED A PAIR OF SOCKS FOR A COUPLE REDS, SO WE GOT A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP.
