At Watkins Glen, New Yory 1973: the Dead, Allman Bros & The Band- Wild Walt called me at work & told me that there were over 500,000 people there already. (Thats all he said) I did not know what he was reeeeferring too) I respond, "Theres only one thing I don't understand, why we ain't there yet!) I told the boss I had to leave work immediately, that I had forgot about a mandatory Court Appearance in Atlanta & I had to go right then- And I needed my pay!- He was a good boss, sorry I lied to him but in 5 minutes I was outta there. Me, Wild Walt & Sully hit the highway in my Yellow 72 Vega. We had sleeping bags & some coolers filled with Tyrolia Wine. We stopped for a pit stop & Sully took the wheeel. I am not kidding- he got us there in about 6.5 hrs.....I was about 500 plus miles away ! Yes were were flying all the way!

I wrote a book sorry but that was the first paragraph.
