durch die strassen laufen ratten
gefährlich dunkle schatten
spiegeln sich in mondenschein
trotzen den leben mehr zum schein
sie schlagen sich durch häuserschluchten
ihr schicksal auf den schultern wuchten
rennen aufgeschreckt umher
machen sie sich selbst das leben nur schwer?
in der gesellschaft die unterste schicht
blicken sie von unten auf das licht
das dort für die normalen blinkt
und erkennen das ihr leben stinkt
ernähren sie sich von ihrer qual
als hätten sie ne andre wahl
durchleben die hölle dort auf der erde
und hoffen das es irgendwann besser werde.
