Ginna, could you come here for a second? [pulls Ginna over to the side of the room and talks to her in low tones] I want to tell you something that I've only told to one other person in my entire life...Charlene. When I was sixteen, I went out with a man three years older than me and found out that he did drugs. I stayed with him when he told me he would straighten up, but I wasn't self confident enough to tell him how much I hated him when he was on drugs. Now, I know you don't have that problem, you take after Julia so much! But I want to warn you that people do crazy things when they're on drugs, whether they realize it or not, and I know that I was put in some pretty uncomfortable situations. I also know that it's possible for people to straighten out, and I trust you, as does everyone else in this room. If this boy has gone to rehab and you feel comfortable with him, then nobody in this room is going to stop you. We'll talk to McKayla, but remember that she is just trying to protect you. How about we come to a compromise with her, okay sweetie? Just to calm her nerves. [pats her on the cheek]
