 I was at sampson in july 1943, dont know what company. I was put on troop train to california after boot camp and served aboard uss minneapolis untill december 1945. in october 2002 i was organizer for our ships reunion in buffalo at the naval park. I recently came upon the sampson site and am intrigued, and definitely plan on attending any functions related to sampson in the future. My home is buffalo new york and i am a retired pdiatric physician, an avid down hill skier in ellicottville ny. Any info on meeting or groups in this area would be appreciated or if i can be of any assistance in future functions please contact me. I'm sorry it took me so long to find your site but i am not too computer literate. Would like to hear from anyone who might be able to help me as to where i can get specific info on my time at sampson and where other people ended up who were in the samae company as me. Thank you and whoever is responsible for the sampson site TVG... sherwood sarles.........
