 Mr. Padden.....While I did not serve on that type of ship,I spent my time at sea on destroyer escorts, as a Torpedoman 3rd class.I still have my original card which was sent to my parents on my arrival at Sampson.Barracks F-25 Co.479. on Feb.27th,1943.We also have a meeting and breakfast with about 20 fellows from Sampson the first Friday of the month.We are all in our seventy's.Like you I also have a lasting memorial in my basement for my Dad, a WW1 veteran.Once again may I add what an outstanding job you have done. GOD BLESS YOU....Hang tough....DICK TM 3RD CLASS
