Rowling, Raymond R.<#1> Sun., Feb. 27, 2005. Age 77. Loving husband, father and friend. Predeceased by his sister, Doris Lighthouse and brother, Jim Rowling. Survived by his bride of 57 years, Billie; 2 loving daughters, Robin (Tom)) Bell, Lynn (Kevin) Rowling; 2 grandsons, Jonathan Bell of Davis, CA andStephen Bell; loving brother, Bill (Betty) and sisters, Myra Allen and Gladys (Warren) Pearce; dear nephew, David Lighthouse and many nieces and nephews. Ray has been a life long resident of Gates, NY. He graduated from Edison H.S. and enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Dayton during WW II. Ray was sole proprietor of Rowling Heating and Air Cond. for 50 years. He was also a member of The USS Dayton Assoc., American Legion, VFW and Sampson WW II Veteran Assoc. He also enjoyed Travel, fishing, nature and spending time with his friends and family.Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 4th, 3 PM at the Hidden Valley Club (off Pixle y Rd.). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd., Fairport, 14450. Arrangements by Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home.
