 There are a few ways you might be able to find shipmates that were on LST 285

(1) Ask the US LST Association for a list of shipmates.( http://WWW.USLST.org ). They may require that you join which is $19.00 per year.

or (2) write to Grant Lee, 1920 Lula Lane, Enola, Pa. 17055-1315 and ask him for a list. With the latter, just send a self addressed envelope and a couple of dollars and he will send you the list he has. I found this on another website so I don't know if he has anyone from the LST 285.

Back on August 29, 2005 on the LST Home Port website, http://www.abiz4me.com/lst.html, there was another person looking for information on LST 285. You may want to contact him and find out if he found anything about his father.
