Harry will be missed. In addition to providing interesting stories on the website, he was also one of the people who transcribed articles for me.
We communicated often-until about 6 months ago when he stopped responding, I assumed that like so many others I had communicated with that he was either unable to respond or had passed.
Harry's bosun's pipe and my Father's dog tags made the trip to D.C. for the dedication of the WWII Memorial. They are pictured together - see link 25 on this page: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.rpadden.com/ww2memorial/ww2memorial.htm">http://www.rpadden.com/ww2memorial/ww2memorial.htm</a> .
He has article on this page: <a rel=nofollow target=_blank href="http://www.rpadden.com/docs/people.htm">http://www.rpadden.com/docs/people.htm</a> (1st article)
He also has LST pictures scattered around the site.
His uniform hangs in my closet - with my Dad's "Crow" Y2c replacing his - at Harry's suggestion. It serves as a reminder of each of the men who served and are no longer with us.
Harry-you will be missed.
Say hello to my Dad for me.
Russ
