 Dear Russ,
You've done beatiful job on this website. My father was on the LSM-62 and the LSM-290. All I know that his ship the LSM-62 was at Okinawa. I can't find pictures of either ship anywhere. My father has been gone for 10 years, and my oldest son didn't even get to know him. But is very interested in his Grandfather's past, especially when he served in the Navy, WWII. Please, if you could look through your photos and see if you can locate any pictures of these ships it would mean the world to a little boy and of course his mother. We do not have any pictures of his ships, because my step grandmother threw out or burned all of my father's war pictures, medals, and ribons after she married my grandfather.
My father's name is Paul Salley. Your father must be very proud of you website.
