I wouldn't read too much into consistency based on two games. At the end of the season we are likely to find that Morgan was a very bad team, and UMBC was a better team, so the fact that we performed well against one and not the other could have more to do with the opponents than with us.

That said, what is with the assists? It seems you would have more than 2 assists in a pickup game without even trying. Assuming the team is running an offense they should have more than 2 assists per game by shear chance you would think.

Sullivan plays a tough, bloody game, so it is hard to shoot well against them. From the Sun it appears Hicks was not happy with the lack of calls. No coach who plays UMBC is ever happy with the number of calls, that is just their style. Good to see we were fighting on the boards, though.

Tough to read too much into this weekend, because in my mind we did exactly what we should have done. When we lost both games last year it was an indication that the team was going to be really bad, and not just mediocre. Coming out of the tournament this year it appears we might rise to the level of mediocre, which I guess would be an improvement, huh?
