I think a lot of us share your observation on Hicks. It is unfortunate anytime a nice guy is put in a position where he is doomed to fail. The Siena crowd is loyal to their Albany man, saying it is the Plague of Loyola and not Hicks that is at fault, ignoring the fact that we were competitive not too long ago. But in the end I can't help but think that maybe this is why the Athletic Director, and not the President, should decide who the head basketball coach is. We took a guy with 1 year of D-I experience and no local connections and asked him to rebuild a program in one of the most competitive recruiting areas in the country. Tough for an underqualified coach to do.
