Yeah in 92-93 we gave Niagara who went 23-7 on the season one heck of a battle and we probably should have won. I remember Mike Malone screwing up a 4 on 1 fast break late in that game.

I would imagine that students went to games in 92-93 because we had seen moderate success in prior seasons. The prior year we beat both Xavier and LaSalle at home and the year before that we had shown marked improvement. I believe that was the year where we won a nail biter over a very good Iona team led by Sean Green.

I guess my point is is there was reason for optimism in 92-93 even if wins were rare because we had tasted some success. Consider this year's junior class. They have been Loyola students for what 15 wins in almost 3 seasons. That won't inspire them to go to the games.
