I disagree with that. It completely depends upon your line work, what degree you are talking about and where you went to get it.
I'd say in most cases, the cost required to acquire post graduate certification rarely justifies the return on investment. Getting an MBA from fill in the blank university is nothing but a nice add-on to a resume.
