(.he knew the other mare was his, but he was stubborn. In fact, the fight wasn't neccessarily about the mare. It was just plain rivalry. Stubborn colt feels the hooves rake violently against his delicate cartilage and squeals in pain. Snorting violently, he rears up and slashes at his father's neck. Blood pours from his nostrils as he fights for pride. Once the fight had started he wanted not to quit or be beaten, for he had his stupid colt pride. He snorts again, splattering blood against his own coat. Turning about, he lashes out furiously with his hind legs, hopeing to slice his father open with his hooves. Ebon colt screeches shrilly as his father's sharp hooves slip into his skin. He shakes his head and snorts, lashing out at his father one last time before he half-rears, snorts, and prances arrogantly away. He was saving face, for he knew his father would win.)
