I have a 87 F-150 and sometimes have the same problem. check your timing if you haven't yet, the bolt that holds the distributor cap in place may be a little loose causing the cap to turn at higher RPMs due to engine vibration, this throws the timing off, but when you slow down it generally sets back into place. If this isn't your problem, check your fuel filter and pump. also, you may want to try pouring a can of this stuff called B-12 Chemtool in your gas, it cleans out your injectors.
