"Cally If you must know why I was away for so long, its because My mother died. My father is not around anymore to look after her. He died long ago. I got word that she was extremly ill, So I went to look for her. I stayed with her for months nursing her back to health. She finally got well again, which i thought anyway, I started making my trip back here when word came to me that she died. I went back there as fast as i could to find my dear much loved mother dead. So as you can see I didn't really have a choice. I thought you were in Gussies herd, so i thought you would be alright on your own for a little while."
*Tears clouded over ihs eyes. He then stared one last time at the mare and foal he loved so much, then galloped back to the wild.*
