There's a new wind blowin' like I've never known
I'm breathin' deeper than I've ever done
And it sure feels good, to finally feel the way I do

He let himself in, quietly smiling to himself as he stripped off his socks, shoes, shirt, and unbuttoned his jeans - all just on his way to the guest room he had adopted for himself. Physically, he was improving by the day - skin a deep chocolate brown from the hours he spent outside, muscles beginning to define themselves again from the hard work, and Emma's three-square-meals-a-day policy was hardly hurting. Emotionally, he had been feeling great lately - the job he had gotten mowing lawns and weeding for a landscaping company had done wonders for his self-worth, and the physical labor kept his mind off any problems, and then there was her... The more he thought about her, the wider his smile got - so by the time he reached his room, he was grinning...

She smiled as she looked up from where she was sitting on the balcony. It was good to watch him recover in a way, becoming more and more like his old self. Quietly she stood, moving over to lean against the doorframe, her brow cocked. "You look awful happy." (NT) -- Emma, 02:28:50 07/07/03 Mon

He smirked, placing a lingering kiss to her cheek as he brushed past her towards the bathroom. "I made out with the client's daughter in the poolhouse." He shrugged a touch, pretty much oblivious to her feelings - it was rare that he ever said or did things to upset people, and often when he did, it wasn't intentional and he never even notices. "Nice enough... Pretty enough... Kind of crazy though." He spoke so casually about her, he may have been completely infatuated but there was little doubt that it was just a fling.
