But according to the experiences (Near Death Experiences, NDEs) of people who were very sick, given up for dead, yet came back, there is nothing to be afraid of at the end of one's life. If religions are correct, then one should be kind to others, and help others before then. According to the carrot/stick approach of belief systems that will influence the "destination" - heaven or hell (if they exist).

Many ideas exist about this, none can be proven, and we shouldn't worry about it. Just do the best we can as long as we are able.
