Subject: Blessing of the Temple

Wile doing genealogy work this last week I ran across a place were I could down load tow whole Ged Com files on my family I lost contact with well over thirty years ago after my fathers death.
I wrote the person who did the history work and he wrote me back telling me I had family alive in BC.
I want to post the letter I received, I can not tell you the JOY this has brought me.
I started doing this genealogy work because Of my faith as a LDS church member.
Last month my husband and I finished the Temple work for six whole family's related to me in the LDS Temple, we as members believe in salvation of our dead, that is why we do so much genealogy work. The Baptisms for these people were done as well as marriages we call sealing for time and all eternity and sealing them as family's to each other in family groups.
We are told we will receive blessings for doing this selfless work, but I near gave it much thought till today.
My father and his parents were one of the family's we sealed as a eternal family that last time in the Temple. I was happy but yet sad feeling that because I felt like a orphan.

I share this letter with you so that you can see what a blessing fell in my lap this morning.
I do now belive I have receved a Blessing.

Hi Winnie,
Bill e-mailed me that you had gotten in touch with him.
My grandfather, William Raphael Sn*******, was your grandfather's brother!!
That would make us second cousins!!
William Raphael Sn******* left Morden or Winnipeg for the States at age 17. He was a CPR Engineer for many years. He met my grandmother, Aida Maude*****, in North Bend BC and they were married in 1912 in Vancouver BC. He died in 1955 and she at the age of 91 in 1982. They had five children, 4 daughters and one son. They moved to Kam****** in 1923 where Betty, the youngest, was born. My mother Ruby Maude (known all her life as"Bonnie") was born in 1912 and is still alive as well as my dad, Richard Mi****. Her three sisters, Pearl C******, Rae (short for Raphael) ******* and Betty ***** as well as her brother Lloyd Sn****** are still living but all have lost their spouses. All live in Kam****** BC except for Rae who lives in Venice, Florida.
I was born in Kam***** in 1947 and am married to a great guy who works for We***** (Pulp Div.) We have seven children. Our eldest is Paul who is married and living in P***** and we are looking forward to becoming grandparents in mid-July. Our youngest is Katie and she is in Kindergarten. And "No", we are not a blended family. They are all ours together!! A bit unusual, crazy perhaps, but it sure makes life interesting! We have four at home still and two older ones who share an apartment in town.
When I received Bill's e-mail this evening I was so excited. I called my Mum and my two aunts to tell them. It is just so amazing to be able to get connected to your side of the family again after all these years. Your father would have been my aunt Pearl's age (86) and she and Ru**** kept in touch. But the last time Pearl heard from her was back in 1993. We are so glad she is still alive as we all thought she must have passed away.
I am going to try and phone you tomorrow morning and give Betty an opportunity to speak with you also.
Arlana N******
Kam**** BC
