Kyanna entered onto the Hatching Sands slightly breathless, due to the fact that she had run from the Bowl to the Barracks to the Sands, only pausing long enough to grab a Candidate robe. She hadn't even stopped to put the thing on, instead shoving it on as she ran. Even now she was adjusting the white cloth over her normal clothes so as they could not be seen. Surprisingly enough, there wasn't so much as a tell-tale bump to indicate that she still had on her well-worn traveling clothes. She had run without pausing to put the white robes on, but she stopped dead in her tracks when she saw the wet, bloody hued dragonet. What an incredible creature, she thought wistfully. I wonder what boy will Impress him. The redhead was jerked rudely out of her thougts by two loud chirps. Coming out of between was her new firelizards. They had awaken with indignant squawks when she begun to run into the Weyrling Barracks. "Cināed! Rennae!" she whispered to them feircly, not wanting to disturb anyone. They chirped again indignantly. Kyanna sighed and relaxed, allowing them to 'perch' upon her shoulders as she spoke softly to them. "I know I woke you, and I'm sorry. Can you forgive me?" Cināed, the Bronze, and Rennae, the Green, both nuzzled her neck, Cin burying his wedge-shaped head in her long tresses. "Thank you. Now if you will go back to the barracks and wait for me, or go sit upon the ledges with the Dragons, I promise I will make it up to you." Kyanna smiled at the duo as they flew to the ledges, and quickly attached her jaded gaze to the Bronze dragonet that had emerged from it's shell, the remaining nine eggs, and, of course, the golden matire, Shetanth.

Cadeyrn, too, entered onto the Hatching Sands breathless, which was quite unusual for him; nothing made him run unless he wanted to run. But the startling cry that a dragonet had already Hatched had sure made him do so. Was it a Green? Blue? Brown? Bronze? Or maybe a Gold had Hatched? Who would the dragonet Choose? How many Candidates would Impress? Would he Impress? The thoughts swirled in his mind, becoming jumbled and making him slightly confused. As the magnifent creature that was the newly Hatched Bronze dragonet caught Cade's eyes, a soft whoosh was emitted from the mascu that was called Cadeyrn. Amazing... How can such an incredible creature exist? It seems beyond possible... Cade gazed at the dracling, trying not to stare, with eyes gone to that of a wolf; golden in color. Simply amazing... Who can be worthy of such a magnificent creature? Who will he deem worthy to Impress him? More of such thoughts entered Cadeyrn's mind as he tried not to stare, but dispite all his efforts, he could not remove his golden gaze from the Bronze dracling.
