The bronze Basoth laid on a ledge nearby. He settled to sunbath and keep almost a protective eye over his mate and soon to come clutch. He sent a mental picture of the clutch to his rider, who considered it.

A determined line set on the WeyrLeaders face. The clutch had come quickly, yet candidates seemed to be in short supply at the moment. Maybe he could Search the Minerva Hold for likely candidates, but a problem remained. There weren't many inhabiting the hold. A Search would be hard to do by the few people there, but would probally have to occur anyhow. He didn't doubt there would be a likely candidate there. He set it in his mind to talk about Searching the Hold with the Weyrwoman, and if the Hold was ready enough.
